Madiba Day 67 minutes
Everinghams Inc., took our 67 minutes of goodness to Kuyasa Soup Kitchen in Langa.
We spent our 67 minutes creating 50 gift bags of toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, body cream, facecloth and roll on) and visited Langa on Saturday the 18th of July to give these gifts of love to Kuyasa, in order to help them uplift people in the community. We also donated non-perishable food items as well as a bag of wool donated by Nurturing Fibres (http://nurturingfibres.com/.
Kuyasa was started by Glenrose Kabane. Glenrose creates opportunities wherever she can for the elderly, and regularly provides meals and soup kitchens for the young children and elderly in her community.
Glenrose is a very inspirational lady, who creates hope for the young and old and networks actively to gain support for her Old Age Pensioners Club. Her desire is to inspire others and grow opportunities within communities. We were thrilled to be a part of this special lady's project.
A big thank you to the staff at Everinghams Inc. for their involvement in the 67 minutes. A special thanks to Michele, Nicolas and Nadia for assisting on the day.
